A high standard of cleanliness is vital in the workplace to ensure a good first impression, happy staff and a pleasant working environment. This was especially important when a leading investment bank required the provision of cleaning and associated services.

The Challenge

With offices in 29 countries around the world, the global financial services holding company required an experienced facilities management provider, capable of delivering a global solution at a local level.

With a specific focus on the financial firm’s presence within six countries across Europe, value for money was also a key factor in the bid process.

In addition, the client was expecting a seamless transition without interference of the bank’s operations, followed by a service quality improvement over the first months.

The Solution

ECS was awarded the contract in 2014, having been selected based on the company’s expertise and suitability to meet the client’s goals.

Taking the time to visit the client’s sites, thoroughly analyse the brief and understand those who the contract would be serving, ECS was able to develop a bespoke solution for delivery within all six countries (Austria, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland).

This level of attention to detail, a vital component in ECS’s daily activity, was a key differentiator in the bid process.

The Results

ECS’s ‘glocal’ solution has now been successfully in operation since September 2014, with positive results from the outset.

The localised approach has resulted in a strong relationship between ECS’s local account managers and the client’s site managers, not to mention those working within the serviced buildings.

Following a hugely successful year with the leading financial services company, ECS has secured the opportunity to extend its facilities management delivery to additional countries/sites.
