Agfa-Gevaert NV (Agfa) is a Belgian multinational corporation that develops, manufactures and markets analog and digital systems for the printing industry, for the healthcare sector and for specific industrial applications.
With manufacturing plants around the world, the company employs over 10,000 people. Together they realised a turnover of 2,620 million Euro.
In June 2013, Agfa released a tender for the cleaning and associated services on sites within two Agfa divisions (Agfa Graphics and Agfa HealthCare). The purpose was to bundle and re-organise services, reducing costs and improving efficiency, whilst enhancing the existing level of service.
Agfa was searching for a provider who had a great deal of experience in the industry and could bring innovative solutions to its service delivery.
ECS was invited to participate on the RFP for 7 countries across Europe and was differentiated in the bidding phase by the company’s level of analysis, allowing a total understanding of Agfa-Gevaert’s requirements from the outset.
ECS was proud to be awarded the contract in 2014 and was chosen as the organisation best suited to partner with Agfa-Gevaert, to deliver against their goals and meet their financial requirements.
The detailed exploration in the bid process allowed ECS to develop and provide a completely customised, service-oriented solution. In April 2014, service delivery commenced across 17 sites in 6 countries: Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Italy and Czech Republic.
As a result of ECS’s innovative and experienced approach, substantial cost savings were obtained for Agfa. A notable amount when compared to previous suppliers.
Following a hugely successful period with Agfa, ECS has secured the opportunity to extend its service provision on Agfa’s French and German sites, due to commence in 2015.
