Environmental Impact Policy

European Customer Synergy may develop programs to minimize environmental impact. An environmental impact questionnaire may be sent to suppliers at any time, to assess supplier’s position and programs in such respect. In such case, suppliers shall, if requested by European Customer Synergy, provide European Customer Synergy with a full response within two (2) months of the date of the request; promptly submit to European Customer Synergy a revised response upon any material change in the previous response at any time during the term of the contract.

When European Customer Synergy identifies areas that require environmental improvement within the bounds of their contract requirements, suppliers shall co-operate and work with European Customer Synergy towards achieving continuous improvement in such areas.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, ASBESTOS AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS:

  1. Suppliers shall comply (and shall ensure that all relevant contract personnel comply) with all relevant laws and regulations relating to the handling, transportation, storage and disposal of waste and/or special waste arising from or in connection with the performance of the contract (“Waste”).

  2. Suppliers shall complete such waste transfer/consignment notes as are required by law and/or as are reasonably required by European Customer Synergy from time to time describing the waste and the license details of suppliers and any relevant subcontractor who handles, stores or transports waste. 3. Supplier shall supply and procure that all relevant Subcontractors each supply to European Customer Synergy a statement setting out the processes used in handling, storing, transporting transferring and disposing of waste.

  4. Suppliers shall obtain (and pay any fees associated with) any appropriate licenses, permissions or authorities required in connection with the disposal of waste. Suppliers shall have committed a material breach of the contract if suppliers or any relevant subcontractor ceases to be an authorized person under applicable laws and regulations.

  5. If supplier become aware of or suspects the presence of asbestos or other hazardous materials at the customer locations, suppliers shall stop work in the affected area immediately and notify European Customer Synergy.
